On December 4, Aslan Bzhania, the de-facto President of separatist Abkhazia, and Rustam Minnikhanov, the head of Tatarstan, who arrived on a one-day unofficial visit to the separatist republic, examined investment-attractive objects in the Gagra and Gulrypsh regions of Abkhazia.

Aslan Bzhania and Alan Gagloev, the de facto leaders of the separatist regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia/Tskhinvali, visited the Russian Karachay-Cherkess Republic on September 7. Sergey Menyaylo, the head of North Ossetia-Alania, Alexander Novak, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, and Yuri Chaika, the Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District of Russia, all took part in the Karachay-Cherkessia 100th anniversary celebrations.

Separatist Abkhazia May Join Union State of Belarus and Russia

Aslan Bzhania, the de-facto President of the separatist Republic of Abkhazia, stated that Abkhazia is ready to join the Union State of Belarus and Russia. He said that cooperation between Belarus and Abkhazia is going well and that the two countries will soon work together on a big investment project.

The parties noted the stabilization of the sanitary and epidemiological situation in Abkhazia thanks to the well-coordinated work of Russian and Abkhaz doctors. As part of the exchange of views on the international agenda, Aslan Bzhania and Dmitry Medvedev paid particular attention to Russia's war in Ukraine.
