On November 29, Kristina Ozgan, the de-facto Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of separatist Abkhazia, presented a report on implementing instructions on energy supply to Aslan Bzhania, the de-facto President of occupied Abkhazia. The instructions were given and concerned the volume and conditions of the flow of electricity from Russia, which began on November 22, and the repair work schedule on the Achguara high-voltage line.

According to Ozgan, the Russian side has agreed upon the receipt of a flow of 280 million kWh. According to her, however, this volume is not enough, to provide the republic with an uninterrupted power supply by the end of 2022, 340 million kWh are needed.

"Now we have a daily consumption of 8.7 million kWh, of which about 6.6 million kWh is Russian light and about 2 million kWh we get from Ingur HPP. Working meetings are also held with the station's management to understand whether the Ingur HPP can increase the volume of electricity generated. This week we will present an agreed timetable to see if we can avoid outages," Ozgan added.

Regarding the reconstruction of the Achguara overhead line, Ozgan reported that the employees of Chernomorenergo had begun repair work with the specialists involved to assist in the repair of the overhead line. "According to the schedule, repair work on the Achguara overhead line will be completed by the end of December this year," the de-facto Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
