On November 16, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) put Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, on the wanted list. 

He is charged with two articles, including "Waging an aggressive war or aggressive military operations," which, according to the Ukrainian Criminal Code, provides imprisonment for 10 to 15 years.

On the same day, Ramzan Kadyrov ridiculed the actions of the Security Service of Ukraine.

"The SBU cannot find me in any way. The whole world knows I am in the center of Grozny, and the stupid Security Service of Ukraine has put me on the wanted list for the umpteenth time," Kadyrov said.

He threatened that he would come to the Ukrainian special services himself. "I have already stated, and I will repeat: name the place, SBU officers, and the time! You do not have to look for me. By the way, I have already been to Ukraine a couple of times, and I did not see anyone there who was puzzled by my capture. The methods of the Ukrainian search are designed only for Internet search because my intelligence reports that the SBU is not going to perform any real operational actions on the ground to establish my whereabouts - the electricity is regularly cut off. It is very difficult to work in such conditions. Yes, and air raid sirens always interfere," Kadyrov stated ironically.

Furthermore, the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a case on the unlawful criminal prosecution in Ukraine of the head of Chechnya and Sergey Surovikin, the commander of a group of troops in the zone of the so-called special military operation.

"The Main Investigation Department initiated and is investigating a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Art. 299 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Bringing a knowingly innocent person to criminal responsibility or illegal initiation of a criminal case") because of the illegal decision to prosecute the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and put him on the wanted list. In addition, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia is also investigating a criminal case in connection with the illegal prosecution of the commander of the grouping of forces in the special operation zone, Sergei Surovikin," the report said.
