Ukraine Imposes Sanctions Against Russian MP from Chechnya and His Brothers

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees imposing sanctions against those involved in the Russian invasion of the country. The sanctions list included a Russian MP from Chechnya, Adam Delimkhanov, and his three brothers. 

Zelenskyy's decrees approved three sanctions lists. One includes 2,251 individuals from different countries; another consists of 1,374 legal entities; and the third consists of 256 Russian businessmen. The sanctions list includes Adam Delimkhanov and his brothers: Sharip, the head of the National Guard Troops Department for Chechnya; Amkhad, an officer in the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; and Alibek, the First Deputy Commander of the North Caucasian District of the National Guard troops. 

Senator Ilyas Umakhanov of Dagestan, businessman Suleiman Kerimov of Dagestan, former MPs Yushaa Gazigireev of Ingushetia and Abdulmajid Agramov of Dagestan, and others are also on these lists. Ingush businessman Mikhail Gutseriev and his family members were also sanctioned: brother Said-Salam, an entrepreneur and ex-deputy of the State Duma; son Said, the main owner of the M.Video and Eldorado retail chains; and daughter Sofya. In addition, sanctions have been imposed against the alleged owner of PMC Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, TV presenters Olga Skabeeva and Vladimir Solovyov, businessmen Arkady and Boris Rotenberg, Gennady Timchenko, Alexei Mordashov, Mikhail Fridman, and others.
