Kabardino-Balkaria and Chechnya become outsiders in family welfare rating

Kabardino-Balkaria has closed the list of regions in terms of family well-being in 2021. The Chechen Republic took the penultimate place. According to experts, after minimal spending, an average family with one child in the Kabardino-Balkaria Federal Republic is left with only 9.52 euros. If there are two children, then this amount reaches 211 euros. In Chechnya, 120 and 286 euros, respectively, remain for additional expenses.

The rating was calculated based on the potential balance of money for a family with two employees with an average salary for the region based on Rosstat data. The authors note that the real spending of families can be much higher.

Most other regions of the North Caucasus, according to RIA "Rating," are also at the end of the list. Ingushetia is in 82nd place out of 85 possible (Russian official statistics take into account data on the annexed Crimea), Karachay-Cherkessia - in 80th, Dagestan - in 79th, Kalmykia - in 77th, and North Ossetia - on the 76th.

According to the rating, the best regions for families from the southern and North Caucasian regions live in the Rostov region (62nd place), Stavropol Territory (60th), Adygea (55th), Krasnodar Territory (54th), Volgograd (47th), and Astrakhan regions (40th). Thus, none of these regions was even in the first third of the list.

The leaders of the rating are the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. There, a family can allocate from 1161 to 1734 euros for additional expenses.
