The Republic of Ingushetia (Russia) intends to reduce the poverty level in the country to 13.1% by 2030. To reduce this indicator by 2.6 times, a program of social contracts will be implemented in the region, said the Minister of Labor and Employment of the region, Khadzhibekir Mutaliyev.

The Commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation for Social Policy established the procedure for determining the target value of the indicator poverty rate for the period up to 2030 including annual target indicators, according to which the following target indicators for poverty reduction have been set for Ingushetia: 2021 - 35.1 %, 2022 - 31.9%, 2023 - 28.9%, 2024 - 26.1%, and by 2030 the figure is planned to be reduced to 13.1%, Mutaliev said.

According to him, in order to achieve the established poverty indicator, the subprogram "Reducing the share of the population with incomes below the subsistence level in Ingushetia" of the state program of the republic "Social support and assistance to the employment of the population" were adopted.

“Within the framework of this subprogram, starting in 2021, state social assistance is provided on the basis of a social contract, which should support family income and overcome the causes of poverty in the long term. From April to August, such assistance has already been provided to 622 families for a total amount of 5.4 million Euro. That is, within the framework of the social contract, the recipient must increase the income of his family, including by the sale of one or more products through individual entrepreneurial activity or running a personal subsidiary farm. It also provides for the implementation of other measures aimed at overcoming a difficult life situation,” the minister added.
