Die Georgier sehen keine ausreichenden Fortschritte bei den wichtigsten nationalen Themen und sind der Meinung, dass sich die Situation in Bezug auf Armut (75%), Kriminalität (58%), territoriale Integrität (53%) und Bildung (51%) in den letzten 10 Jahren verschlechtert hat.

The satisfaction in the major state institutions in the country, including Georgia’s Prime Minister Garibashvili, President Zourabichvili, the Parliament as well as the Central Electoral Commission remained low according to the polls, with only 39% of the questioned assessing it as good.

Die meisten Georgier sind dazu entschlossen am Wahltag (88%) an die Urnen zu gehen. Dabei bleiben die meisten Befragten weitgehend unentschlossen (59%) in der Frage, welche Partei sie wählen werden .Eine so hohe Anzahl unentschlossener Wähler sei sowohl eine Herausforderung als auch eine Chance für die Parteien.

When it comes to the country’s direction, 49% of respondents thought that the country is going in the wrong direction, 30% that Georgia is not changing at all, and only 18% believed that the country is going in the right direction.

Call for Contributors: Caucasus Watch is looking for experts, journalists and fact-checking specialists!

“Caucasus Watch” is seeking local specialists from Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and the North Caucasus region, to assist our research endeavours and help enrich our content.

“Caucasus Watch” is an independent platform, which provides coverage of recent developments in various locations of the Caucasus region for the German and overall European stakeholders. We are an international team of Caucasus enthusiasts and are currently looking for local contributors who focus on social, economic, political and security dynamics of the said region.

The platform offers: I) a flexible format of cooperation, as well as competitive remuneration; II) access to English and German speaking readership in the wider European region; III) an opportunity to join the network of regional specialists through the initiatives and events to be organized by the Caucasus Watch and partner institutions.
