On December 6, the 11th meeting of the Trilateral Working Group was held in Moscow under the co-chairmanship of Alexey Overchuk, Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Shahin Mustafayev, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister, and Mher Grigoryan, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister, the Russian government reported.

At the meeting, the parties noted the positive role of Russia in normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and opening economic and transport relations between them.

"During the meeting, issues of railway construction, development of railway transport, and transportation organization between Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia and in the region were discussed. The parties will continue to work on the implementation of the tripartite declarations of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia on the opening of transport and economic relations in the region. Azerbaijan and the Armenian sides expressed their gratitude to the Russian side for the high-level organization of the meeting and hospitality," the Russian government added.

According to Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, “no concrete results” have been reached during the meeting in Moscow. 

As previously reported by Caucasus Watch, on November 3, under the chairmanship of Shahin Mustafayev, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Mher Grigoryan, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the third meeting of the Commission on border delimitation and border security issues was held, the press offices of the Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministries reported.
