Armenia Signs Loan Agreements Worth EUR 200 Million

On November 18, the Ministry of Finance of Armenia signed loan agreements worth EUR 100 million with the French Development Agency and USD 100 million with the Asian Development Bank.

"The main objectives of financing are to strengthen the efficiency of public finance management and the development of money and capital markets, as well as to develop a strategic framework for the transition to a green economy and to introduce tools aimed at promoting public and private financing to achieve the goals of climate change mitigation and adaptation," the Ministry stated.

It is noteworthy that during the nine months of this year, the program indicator of tax revenue collection was exceeded by EUR 190 million or 5.8%. Tax revenues in the first nine months of 2022 exceeded the index of the same period of 2021 by about 275 billion drams or 24.2%. In January-September, tax revenues of EUR 3.4 billion were collected in the state budget, which is an unprecedented indicator compared to the same period of previous years.
