Ishkhan Saghatelyan, an MP from the "Armenia" faction of the National Assembly, announced on Facebook that the Resistance Movement is calling a rally on November 5 in support of the demands from the separatist Nagorno-Karabakh.
"Nagorno-Karabakh has stood up. The spirit of 1988 is in Artsakh (an Armenian name for Nagorno-Karabakh). We have been waiting for this day for a long time. Artsakh is united. Artsakh owns its statehood. Today there were clear messages from Artsakh."
"Artsakh has never been and will never be part of Azerbaijan. Any attempt to annex Artsakh to Azerbaijan is unacceptable for the Republic of Artsakh and the people of Artsakh. No authority of the Republic of Armenia has the right to sign any document where the existence of the sovereign Republic of Artsakh will be questioned. Artsakh calls on Armenians around the world to continue to support Artsakh, protect Artsakh's rights, and stand behind Artsakh," he added. "It is our duty and responsibility to listen to the voice of Artsakh. As an Armenian, as a citizen of the Republic of Armenia, and as a dignified person, I stand up for Artsakh and Armenia. In defense of the demands voiced by Artsakh, the Resistance Movement is calling a rally on November 5," the post stated.
He noted that Armenia should stand by Nagorno-Karabakh, and Armenians should stand up for their homeland. "Pan-Armenian unity around the sovereignty, security, and statehood of Artsakh and Armenia. There is no Armenia without Artsakh, and there is no peace without Artsakh," the post added.
Moreover, the Hayrenik Party Spokesperson said they would participate in the November 5 rally. The Spokesperson also positively answered whether the party leader Artur Vanetsyan will also be present. "I think, yes, he will also be present," he said.
The Homeland Party also issued a statement stating that they will continue the uncompromising struggle towards the international recognition of the self-determination of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh and the full restoration of its security.
