Russian Public Broadcaster: "Who Needs Peace Agreement: People of Armenia or Pashinyan?"

After Russian Channel One and Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, the Rossiya-24 news channel tried to provoke the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process. It slammed the Azerbaijani policy and the Pashinyan government.

The Washington document on the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations was again discussed in a four-minute piece. They spoke on the Russian state TV channel with the participation of a Russian expert of Armenian origin Semyon Bagdasarov (Bagdasaryan), and a political commentator from Yerevan Hayk Khalatyan, about the impossibility of the existence of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh within Azerbaijan. It was noted that this proposal of Washington does not meet the interests of Armenia.

During the story, opinions were voiced that the peace agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia does not meet the national interests of Armenia, that Azerbaijan does not make any concessions, and that the possibility of ethnic cleansing of the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh within Azerbaijan is allegedly likely.

In addition, the story notes that, in accordance with the Washington document, Baku and Yerevan can discuss the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Nagorno-Karabakh.

"The mention of the sovereignty of Azerbaijan in this document indicates that the main decisions will be made in Baku. You see, this is also the hand of Washington", the author of the off-screen text stated. The story said: "If a peace agreement is signed, the population of Armenia will be face to face with Azerbaijan and Turkey. So, what kind of peace treaty is this?"

Regarding the Zangazur corridor, it was said that after the opening of the corridor, the pro-Western authorities of Armenia, with the support of Brussels and Washington, may raise the issue of the expediency of placing a Russian military base in Gyumri and Armenia's withdrawal from the CSTO.

At the end of the story, the author emphasized that the document proposed by Washington does not mention concessions for Armenia, and addresses the question: "Who needs it then, the people of Armenia or the Pashinyan government?"
