On September 29, the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) announced five new decisions on 26 complaints sent from Azerbaijan. The court considered two complaints inadmissible. In other cases, the parties reach an amicable agreement. 

In the case of Sariyev and 14 other applicants against Azerbaijan, the applicants complained of violating their right to assembly (Article 11). As the parties reached an amicable agreement at the communication stage, the ECtHR decided to remove the applications from the list of cases to be considered. 

According to the settlement, the government will pay the 15 applicants a total of 39,000 euros in non-pecuniary damages and a total of 6,000 euros in costs and expenses. The applicants are Nurlan Sariyev, Kazim Imanov, Majnun Piraliyev, Araz Samadov, Shafag Samadova, Ilham Huseynov, Yalchin Abdullayev, Emil Salimov, Sagif Gurbanov, Emil Maniyev, Bahruz Hasanov, Agil Maharramov, Ruslan Nasirov, Yalchin Abdullayev, Maharram Rzayev, and Fuzuli Huseynov. 

The cases of Shahhuseynov and seven other applicants against Azerbaijan were also related to allegations of violating the right to assembly. In this case, the parties have reached an agreement at the communication stage. 

According to the agreement, the government will pay the eight applicants a total of 20,800 euros in non-pecuniary damages and a total of 1,000 euros in costs and expenses. The applicants are Fuzuli Shahhuseynov, Imamaddin Maharramli, Muhammad Habibov, Salman Sultanov, Azer Shamkhalov, Ayaz Maharramov, Khalqi Huseynov, Valikhan Huseynov, and Babek Hasanov.
