Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry:

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry: "Azerbaijan Supports Territorial Integrity of Ukraine"

On October 3, Leyla Abdullayeva, the head of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, said that Azerbaijan supports Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Leyla Abdullayeva was asked, "What can you say about the recent events in Ukraine and Azerbaijan's support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty?"

The answer was, "Azerbaijan and Ukraine have always mutually supported each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty, and there is no change in Azerbaijan's position in this regard."

From September 23 to 27, Ukraine's Kherson, Zaporizhia, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions held so-called referendums on the issue of leaving Ukraine and joining the Russian Federation. These "referendums" have ]been recognized by North Korea only and have caused international criticism.

On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had signed agreements on the inclusion of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the Luhansk People's Republic, and the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions into the Russian Federation, which were occupied by Russian forces.

On October 3, the State Duma of Russia adopted the law presented by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, on the integration of four regions of Ukraine into the Russian Federation.
