Iran's exports to Armenia increased by 20% 

In the first 7 months of this year, Iran's exports to Armenia were close to 115 million dollars, which means a 20 percent increase compared to the same period last year. 

Rahmatullah Khurmali, the head of the department for Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Russia of the Trade Development Organization of Iran said: "Our country's export target to Armenia this year is 400 million dollars." Touching on the importance of Armenia for Iran's access to the Russian and Azerbaijani markets, Rahmatullah Khurmali added: "Armenia, which is Iran's northern neighbor and a member of the Eurasian Union, is considered the land entrance gate for the agricultural goods of our country to reach Eurasia."

The Iranian Ambassador: "Armenia is Iran's gateway to the market of Eurasian countries" 

Calling Armenia the gateway to the markets of Eurasian countries for Iran, Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri, Iran's Ambassador to Armenia said: "The more professionally we enter the markets of the countries and are fully informed about the opportunities there, the more opportunity we have to achieve the desired result."  Badakhshan Zohouri told reporters that Armenia hosted various business, economic, and trade delegations from Iran during the last 1-2 years. 

He added: "The activities of neighboring countries with Armenia were economic, and these visits have a special role in increasing awareness and understanding of the commercial opportunities and economic cooperation of the two countries."

The Iranian government encourages businessmen from Zanjan to invest in Armenia 

The Ambassador of Iran to Armenia said: "The trade opportunities of Zanjan province have created a favorable opportunity to participate in the Armenian market." 

In a meeting with the members of the Zanjan Chamber of Commerce, who visited Armenia, Ambassador Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri said: "Armenia has 3 million people, and in addition, there are 10 million Armenians in foreign countries, and they have very strong lobbies in the world."

"This important factor also means that if various companies establish themselves in the markets of other countries, they can increase the export and sale of their products in the markets of other countries using the connections and lobby of Armenians outside this country," he added.
