Ukrainians Living in Georgia Can Enroll in Georgian Institutions without Exams

The Georgian Ministry of Education and Science stated on August 19 that refugees from Ukraine living in Georgia can enrol in Georgian institutions without taking national exams. According to the Ministry, Ukrainian applicants may enrol in any academic programme provided by Georgian schools.

With help from the Ministry, the Ukrainian Embassy in Georgia, and the Ukrainian Ministry of Education, students who went to Ukrainian schools but finished the 11th grade in Georgia were able to take their exams online. According to the Georgian Ministry of Education, the two-hour exam included questions in mathematics, history, and the Ukrainian language, and 64 Ukrainian students took it.

There are currently over 1,500 Ukrainian students registered at various public and private universities across the country. Over 900 of these students continue their studies in Ukrainian.
