Prime Minister of Georgia on Tbilisi's Peaceful Strategy and Bidzina Ivanishvili

Prime Minister of Georgia on Tbilisi's Peaceful Strategy and Bidzina Ivanishvili

Georgia ranked second in the Global Peace Index for 2022, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said at a cabinet meeting. "And Georgia ranked first based on the entire historical improvement of the index. This is also a major acknowledgement," the prime minister continued. According to Garibashvili, Georgia is ranked second out of 163 nations because its government has followed a correct and rational national strategy for the past ten years to protect its people and their interests.

"In contrast, I would like to remind you that in 2012 [before the Georgian Dream took office], our nation was ranked 140th out of 162 countries. We have made so much progress thanks to Bidzina Ivanishvili and our team's solid policies," the prime minister emphasised. In addition, Georgia's Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili, stated, "According to academics and international leaders, the world, particularly poor countries, may be on the verge of starvation. Even though Europe and the rest of the world are heading toward a recession, we still have economic growth in the double digits, peace, and security."

The opposition media referred to the prime minister's international index statistics as speculation. "If anyone believes that we did not impose sanctions at Bidzina Ivanishvili's request or join the war at his request, they are gravely mistaken. Regarding this topic, we do not require anyone's advice or direction within the team. The explanation is straightforward: we love our country and do not wish to condemn it to a disastrous conflict," Garibashvili flagged. According to the Georgian prime minister, the team does not make operational or crucial choices at the behest of the former political leader. "In this circumstance, the campaign's authors should clarify what they mean when they refer to oligarchs and de-oligarchization," the Georgian leader stated.

"Obviously, Bidzina Ivanishvili plays a significant role in the country. Regarding his influence, I will not even discuss charity. Bidzina Ivanishvili earned the adoration and respect of his team and society via his commitment and adoption of the game's new rules, which have so worried our opponents. Our opponents are desperate because they have no control over Bidzina Ivanishvili's past," Garibashvili ended.
