Armenian Foreign Ministry commented on the situation in Ukraine

Yerevan is closely following how the situation around Ukraine is developing according to a statement from the Armenian Foreign Ministry, distributed on February 14 by its press service.

It is reported that the diplomatic missions of Armenia in Ukraine are working normally. This applies to the embassy in Kyiv, as well as the consulate general in Odessa.

“They work as usual, being in constant contact with the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, who, if necessary, will be provided with additional recommendations,” the press service noted.

Kobakhidze: “Georgia's policy towards Ukraine will be pragmatic”

The main goal of Georgia's foreign policy is to prevent the country from being drawn into the war. This was announced on February 14 at a briefing by the chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Kobakhidze.

He noted that the Georgian parliament approved a resolution in support of Ukraine, expressing solidarity with the Ukrainian people. The document says that it is necessary to prevent armed conflict.

“We will continue a pragmatic foreign policy, and our main task is the security of our country and our citizens,” Kobakhidze said.

The Dream leader added that there are forces in Georgia that would like to unleash a new war. But now they do not determine the policy of Tbilisi.

“We saw these people in 2008, when they surrendered 20% of our territories to the Russian Federation by their actions,” the party leader said.

Kobakhidze stressed that the current government is the only one in the history of post-Soviet Georgia, under which there was no war in the country.
