Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said he is ready for a "constructive cooperation" with the opposition and urged them to return to parliament for business-like debates.
Garibashvili was presumably referring to the opposition parties that refused to recognise the results of the recent local elections and said they would take to the streets to continue the struggle.
"Time has come not to put our own narrow party interests above the interests of the country. Our core interests should be the interests of our state and people rather than narrow party interests," Garibashvili said at a government meeting on 8 November.
"Therefore, if the opposition wants to hold real debates, parliament is a place for it," he added.
"We are ready to constructively cooperate with the opposition because it is our country, our victory is a common victory," Garibashvili stated.
He also pledged to cooperate with the newly elected mayor of Tsalenjikha in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region, Giorgi Kharchilava.
Tsalenjikha is the only town, where the ruling Georgian Dream's candidate lost to the opposition in the recent local elections.
