On the eighth day of the hunger strike, the leader of the opposition Droa party, Elene Khoshtaria, was given a blood transfusion at the insistence of doctors because of the deteriorating results of her blood tests.

On the morning of November 3, the leader of the opposition Droa (Pora) party, Elene Khoshtaria, launched a hunger strike in the parliament building, demanding the transfer of former President Mikheil Saakashvili to a civilian hospital. Khoshtaria's condition worsened over several days of the hunger strike, but she refused medical assistance. The MP said that she would end the hunger strike when she knew that Saakashvili was out of danger. On the seventh day of the hunger strike, Khoshtaria said that she would start taking the medicines recommended by the doctor only if she was on the verge of death.

Mikheil Saakashvili has been on a hunger strike since October 1 in a prison in Rustavi, demanding his release. On November 5, the lawyer said that Saakashvili, on the 36th day of the hunger strike, was not able to stand firmly on his feet and think coherently. The Penitentiary Service reported on the transfer of Saakashvili to the Gldani prison hospital. In the prison hospital, security is not properly organised, there are no guarantees for the security of the third president of Georgia, his lawyers said. The Tbilisi City Court appointed a hearing on the Saakashvili case for November 10 and demanded that the defendant be brought to the hearing. A group of doctors in Tbilisi demanded that Saakashvili be transferred to a private clinic.

Also, the deputy was visited by several opposition members of parliament. Representative of the United National Movement Nonna Mamulashvili expressed her indignation that the ruling party is ready to sacrifice people's lives to maintain power.
