Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin that the Karabakh conflict remains unresolved.

"Unfortunately, today we cannot talk about the complete stability of the situation in our region. As you can see, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remains unresolved and it is clear that Russia plays an important role in resolving the conflict and ensuring security in our region. I am glad to discuss this agenda with you," Pashinyan said in an open part of the meeting.

Pashinyan said the frequent meetings "testify to the high dynamics of Russian-Armenian relations and the mutual understanding of the importance of strategic alliance relations."

The Russian President noted that such personal meetings are productive and a good opportunity to achieve results.

"We will talk in formal and informal settings, have lunch together and discuss current work and prospects. A CIS summit is also expected soon, and I would like to compare our hours with you in this regard," Putin said.

Vladimir Putin also said that the main issue of bilateral relations is the settlement of the situation in the region today and in the long run.

Earlier, Azerbaijan said that the Karabakh conflict had been resolved.

Earlier, during the talks between Putin and Pashinyan, the Kremlin press service discussed the implementation of the statements between the Presidents of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan on Nagorno-Karabakh on November 10, 2020, and January 11, 2021, as well as future steps to strengthen stability and economic ties in the region.

In 2021, Putin and Pashinyan held three meetings, they spoke on the phone more than 10 times.
