On 18 March, four patients who were infected with the novel coronavirus in Azerbaijan were discharged after recovering from the virus, reported vestnikkavkaza.

Six patients had been discharged earlier, bringing the tally of recovered persons in the country up to 10. The tally of infected persons is rather stable, currently amounting to 23.

Despite the positive developments, the Azerbaijani government adopted further restrictions in order to combat the spread of the virus. The country's parliament introduced amendments to the law “on information, informing and protecting information.” According to the changes, the owner of the online resource is obliged to prevent the dissemination of information that is detrimental to the life and health of people,  able to cause damage to property of citizens, a massive violation of public safety, the activity of vital objects in the field of finance, transport, communications, industry, energy and socio-infrastructure facilities, as well as leading to other dangerous consequences.a 

During the 19-29 March period, domestic movement of the passenger trains would be suspended except for Baku-Sumgait-Baku and Baku-Pirshaghı-Baku electric trains.

The entry of vehicles into Baku, Sumgayit and Absheron regions was also prohibited. This restriction does not apply to special vehicles, including ambulances, emergency rescue vehicles and trucks.
